Guatemala San isidro
Named after the patron saint of farming, San Isidro Farm is nestled between the slopes of the Lacandon Volcano and dense rainforests. Here quetzals, the national bird of Guatemala, take refuge.
When designing this card, I wanted to pay homage to this beautiful bird, as well as the dense, captivating chaos of the rainforests. Creating various textures inspired by the colors of the Quetzal, I designed the birds trade-mark wings and tail feathers to be drifting off the card - mid-flight yet still “one” with its environment.
