OUT AND ABOUT, LOUISVILLE

BRANDING | LOGO | WEB | SOCIAL MEDIA | COPY WRITING

During my time as a Visual Communications student at the Royal College of Art, I took part in a course called “Across RCA” which allowed us to utilize our specific skill set to give back to our communities.

For my final project, I decided to fully brand Out & About, Louisville, a nonprofit organization that had to shut down in the height of covid. In an effort to breathe new life back into it, I worked hand-in-hand with one of the founders, Amy O’Brien, to create all the marketing elements needed to successfully relaunch the organization. This included a logo, social media posts, business cards and copy writing for the website.

“We believe that social isolation and limited access to the activities that bring us joy can have a profound impact on mental health. Studies have shown that participating in leisure activities, attending events, and engaging with our communities can have significant mental health benefits, including reduced stress and anxiety, improved mood, and increased feelings of connection and belonging. For marginalized individuals and those facing financial, social, or physical barriers, the ability to attend events and pursue hobbies may be even more crucial for their well-being. Our company is dedicated to ensuring that everyone has access to the experiences that can improve their mental health and enhance their quality of life. By promoting community inclusion and providing access to events and activities, we hope to empower individuals and promote a more positive and resilient society.”
